• Project Overview: Electrical Service Business Analytics

Objective: The goal of this project is to leverage data from the electrician's CRM to provide actionable insights and forecasts that will help improve business efficiency, profitability, and employee performance.

Scope:

• Profit and Expense Forecasting: Develop models to predict future profits and expenses based on historical data, such as past projects, seasonal trends, and employee performance. This will help the electrician better understand cash flow, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and plan for future growth.
• Job Profitability Analysis: Analyze past jobs to identify the most and least profitable projects. This will include evaluating profit margins, labor costs, material costs, and other related expenses. The analysis will also include identifying which types of jobs are more profitable on average, both in total and per hour.
• Employee Efficiency Evaluation: Analyze the performance of different employees to identify trends related to job completion times and quality of work. This will help determine if certain employees are more efficient at specific tasks, enabling better task assignments and potentially improving the speed and quality of service.
• Customer Segmentation: Perform segmentation of the CRM data to identify the most valuable customers. This could be based on total revenue generated, frequency of service requests, or specific service types. Understanding the characteristics of high-value customers will allow the electrician to tailor marketing and customer service strategies.
• Inventory Management and Cost Optimization: Analyze usage trends for materials and supplies used in different types of jobs. This will help identify opportunities for bulk purchasing or finding lower-cost suppliers, as well as keeping track of inventory needs more efficiently.
• Seasonality and Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data to identify patterns related to demand fluctuations throughout the year. This information can be used to predict busy periods and plan staff scheduling, advertising campaigns, and inventory purchases more effectively.
